I really appreciate your blog and all the hard work you do. Particularly valuable to me is your insights on LTRs and managing strong relationships over time.

We have a blog where we discuss sexual relationships, business, and lifestyle design, where people just LOVE these deeper insights into relationships. You clearly have a very good understanding of what makes a man, and how to please a woman.

I would love to share your insights with our readers. We could do an interview on sexual dynamics and manliness.

If you're interested, shoot me an email and hopefully can figure out a time in the next few weeks.

Words of wisdom, James. I recently asked a guy friend his secret with the ladies, which went back to the tender age of 11! That's when he had his first french kiss from a 14-year-old friend of his cousin's. That did it. From then on, he always got the girls by playing much older than he was - 19-year-old women were buying that he was 18 when he was only fourteen. When a babysitter (for his younger sister) caught him watching a porn tape in his dad's study (he was 14 at this time), he played it off like it was no big deal.

"What's it look like I'm doing!" he told me he said to her and proceeded to put the moves on her.

He had a little harem going until he actually fell in love with one of them... But even then, he told her he was 19 and she believed him - until one day she saw him in a driver's ed car at a stoplight.

And even then he manned up and managed to keep her.

Oh my god, James, this is great! This has given me a lease on making my own list of things I like and don't like about a guy! Please, please can I share? I'm sharing...

I don't like guys who are shorter than me
I don't like guys with a beer gut
I don't like bald guys, especially if they do a comb-over to try to somehow soften the blow.... Shaved all the way around is ok, though - can even be very sexy if carried right
I don't like pedantic guys. Smart, yes, but not the kind who gets so wrapped up in ideas that the ideas become more important than the fact of a conversation between us
I don't like guys who are attuned more to the sound of the engine of their car than the emotional valence of the relationship
I don't like guys who spend their weekends getting wasted and re-living their fraternity days

Here is what I like:

5'10" to 6'3" and 180-230 lbs is totally hot, height/weight proportionate. This is the perfect size for protection and running with bison (I am not being facetious! A bison hunter is an incredible turn-on!)

Needs to be fit, of course. Not weird body-building type of fit, just fit precisely for bison hunting, which would entail really good aerobic fitness and normal, lean muscle mass. Could jog two miles without dying. Three is even sexier.

Wears casual like second skin. Personally, I am not a fan of the shirt- and tire thing, it's too domesticated. On the other hand, the modern, urban "metrosexual" phenomenon is just as emasculating. A really coiffed-up guy with tons of hair product, fragrance and fur trim on his jacket is a big turn-off. What, now I have to share my conditioner and lip gloss with him? Ewww!

Up for an adventure. Knows how to pitch a tent and start a fire (of the fire-pit kind, of course, not arson!). Starting a fire without use of matches could get his clothes ripped off right then and there. By me, of course.

Loves good, local food, and can even hunt some. Oh yes, I will eat game my man brings to that fire pit, but he will need to gut it himself.

Good conversationalist, reads books. A tough guy - i mean a real tough guy! - recently made me weak in the knees by quoting Schopenhauer very, very casually and in a manner that was relevant to some contemporary, real-life angst he was going through. The same beautiful tough guy made me even weaker in those knees by poking fun at Xenophanes.

Is very, very reliable, honorable and courageous and willing to defend my honor and reputation (as long as it has been earned, of course).

Intense? Oh yes, bring it on. As long as it is tempered by good impulse-control.

Banter will make me swoon.

Kisses back strong, pulls me in closer by wrapping his arm around my waist at the moment of the kiss. Passivity in the bedroom, expecting to get a bj one minute in is total erotic death.

That's not to say bj's can't be totally hot, provided he has earned them by being a real man!

Good hygiene and a clean apartment are also a must....

Oh, don't get me wrong - I secretly want what the groupies want. My fantasy life has been repeatedly populated by those guys. Your point about security concerns are astute, though, and yeah, I guess I am the kind of woman who cannot deal with having to get scrappy with the competition every so often. I just don't have that kind of fighting spirit in me, nor have I been the kind to be ok with sharing my guy.

Nonetheless, I do find myself shifting my position over time, becoming more adventurous with the possibility of risk, as the rewards can be intoxicating....:-)

Why not start your own? Admittedly, there are great sites out there like:
